So nobody at all picked June 28th. That's kind of a relief, since it means that we don't have to worry about any loyal blog readers being whisked away by shadowy government agencies.... oh wait a sec, somebody's at the door, be right back...
Yes, Congratulations to readers Kim and Matt for coming the closest to picking the 3000 hit date. Nice Job. Kim had the right series, just not quite the right date. I suspect Matt or someone would have gotten it if we'd all checked the schedule and realized the Astros would do everything they could to make sure the event happened in Houston. We can only hope they'll do the same for plunk 288.
I just can't believe I picked so close. Usually, I'm no good at picking this stuff (Except for the homer I called at Minute Maid a few years ago). Congrats to the readers who were closer.
