Friendly Braves

No National League team has hit Craig Biggio fewer times than the Atlanta Braves - Houston's opponent for the next three games. Atlanta has recorded only 7 Biggio Plunks, tied for last place in the National League with Arizona, who have had 10 fewer seasons to throw at him. During the span of Biggio's career, through 2004, Atlanta pitchers have hit only 507 batters. Again only Arizona hit fewer batters (392), but they've only been playing since 1998. The World Series Champion Boston Red Sox have hit the most batters during Craig Biggio's years in the majors, with 944 through the 2004 season, and the former Montreal Expos lead the National League with 884.
