266!!!

Unbelievable. Jason Jennings again, and both have been on the second pitch of the at bat after a foul.
I'm starting to think this is no coincidence. Read the disclaimer people!

And he scores on the Ensberg homer!

When and if Biggio breaks Baylor's record, the Hall of Fame has a request for his arm pad. Biggio, who has several items already on display in Cooperstown, will be happy to oblige.

"Anything the Hall of Fame wants, they can have," he said. "It's an honor to give it to them."

How many times has "The Big Hurt" been hit by a pitch?

Tuning in a bit late in the game, so maybe you've already answered this question, but...of all the pitchers who have plunked our intrepid hero, which one was the LEAST likely to have done so, as measured by his career ratio of HBP to batters faced?

I cheered every time he got hit today. At least one True Astro will be in the record books!

Baylor’s erstwhile pre- millennial record is meaningless… Biggio should set his formidable sights on Hughie Jennings’ 287. Why settle for such a middling attainment, when so much more glory will be bestowed on our hero with a mere 22 more plunkings. Don’t be a lemming! Don’t allow the media to dictate to you any significance in third place… it is Jennings’ record that is meaningful

Cletus, I'm fully rooting for Biggio to break the true all time record, but just added the post-1900 tag on Baylor so people would know that the next 2 plunks do have some significance - and as a short explaination of why some people might have seen Baylor listed as the all time record holder.
By this time next year Biggio will have unified the titles and be the one and only all time record holder, continuing to push the record out to a point where it won't be broken for years to come (particularly since Jason Kendall has slacked off recently).

Great site. Came across it on Technorati a while back and have been checking back to read your commentary on the plunks ever since.

Went to the game yesterday and knew you'd be excited after the second one came!

Heard you again on Sports Radio 610 on the way home. Quality interview! Keep up the good work.

In all of the times he has been hit by a pitch, has he ever charged the mound? Pretty impressive if he hasn't.

sometimes when eating sunflower seeds, i get more than one of those salty chunky things thats not a seed. i wonder what they are... ? i wonder what craig biggio thinks about them. i like them, but there shouldnt be more than 1 per bag.

For anonymous, this article on Washingtonpost.com reports that Biggio has never charged the mound. Pretty amazing. He'll just say thanks and take first base and maybe go steal second while he's there.

For the other anonymous, I'll get you some sunflower related stats later on, but you're not supposed to eat that salty thing, it's a desiccant like you find in some product packaging. If you've been eating them, that's probably why you've been having those "problems".
