Texas weekend roundup

The Astros scored 1 run last night, which was 1 more than they scored in there last 2 games, but Texas scored 3 and didn't even hit Craig Biggio with a pitch. For the first time since 1990, Biggio went through an entire June without getting plunked. The Astros will be trying again to generate some more offense, possibly getting on base via the plunk, this afternoon against Ranger's starter John Wasdin. Wasdin has hit 2 Braves, 2 Orioles, 4 Angels, 4 Red Sox batters, 1 White Sox batter, 1 Dodger, 1 Twin, 1 National, 3 A's batters, 1 Philly, 1 Padre, 3 Mariners, and 1 Blue Jay in his career but he has never plunked any of the Houston Astros.
John Hope of the Astros plunked Biggio on July 1, 1995.

Tomorrow, July 2nd, Kevin Millwood will be throwing against the Astros. He's hit 38 batters in his career, including Lance Berkman on May 20th this year, but he has never hit Craig Biggio or any other Astro with a pitch. Biggio has never been plunked on July 2nd.

DING! Number 278 with 2 out in the 7th inning, some reliever named Feldman delivered the gem. Yay!

Now if you ask me, and plenty folk do now and again, them Chinese whispers I done heard a while back were obviously correct – at least in part. This plunking happened in Texas, and it happened at the Ballpark at Arlington, against the Texas Rangers… that is a pretty good prognostication when you stop to consider my Chinese ability is only rudimentary at best.

I will head out to the shed now to start working on the next prediction.

Well done dm. anyway it's all good, another Plunk but more importantly an Astros win! That goofy silver boot salvages something out of the horror that has been inter-league play.

Haha Perchorin!! My ex said that Boot is the silliest thing he's ever seen! He asked how all the Astros players were going to feel trying to stuff their feet into that one boot!!!

GO STROS!!!
