more Diamonbacks in Houston

Craig Biggio and the Astros didn't have much success against the Diamondbacks last night, in the getting hit by pitches category, or in the winning category. Brad Ausmus got hit by a pitch, but Biggio didn't, and the Astros lost the game 3-1.

Tonight, the Astros will face D-backs starter Livan Hernandez. Hernandez hit Biggio with a pitch on April 8th last season, while he was pitching for the Nationals. He's only hit 3 other batters since then, but he has thrown 59 plunks in his career. Chris Hammond of the Marlins plunked Biggio on May 12, 1998 and Salomon Torres did so for the Pirates on May 12, 2003.

Tomorrow, Doug Davis will be on the mound facing the Astros. He's hit 28 batters in his career, but never plunked Biggio. Armando Reynoso plunked Biggio on May 13, 1997 for the Mets.
