Cardinals leave without plunking

The Astros took one of two games against the Cardinals over the weekend, and Craig Biggio moved one hit closer to 3,000, but he also extended his plunkless streak to 39 games. The hit count is up to 2,978 but the hit-by-pitch count continues to remain stuck at 283.

The Astros are off today, traveling to Colorado for three games beginning Tuesday.

Frank Tanana is the only pitcher who has plunked Biggio on June 4th. He threw plunk number 21 on June 4, 1993.
