Another night

... another Braves game, another total lack of hit batters. Biggio's quest continues tonight against Braves starter Horacio Ramirez. Ramirez has never plunked Biggio, but he did hit a batter on April 20th this year. He has only hit 7 of the 1,143 batters he's faced in his short career.

May 7th has seen Craig Biggio hit by a pitch 4 times. As mentioned Thursday, on May 7th of last year John Thomson of the Braves hit Biggio with a pitch at Turner Field, then picked Biggio off at first base three pitches later.
In 2000, Orel Hershiser served up two plunkings for Biggio and became the oldest pitcher ever to hit Craig Biggio with a pitch. Hershiser would only pitch in 4 more games after that one, but he managed to drill 3 more batters.
In 1995 Danny Jackson hit Biggio in a loss at St. Louis.
The Astros are 2-1 on May 7th when Biggio gets hit by a pitch, but 1-0 when he gets hit twice.
