Quality Starts

Of Craig Biggio 272 career plunks, only 75 have come during quality starts by the plunking pitcher (a quality start being 6 or more innings and 3 or fewer earned runs). Of the 14 times the Phillies have plunked Biggio, only 2 of those HBPs were thrown by a pitcher in the midst of a quality start. Only Milwaukee has had a lower ratio of Quality Start Plunks to total Biggio plunks. Colorado has thrown the most Quality Start Plunks, 12, but the Mets have hit Biggio with a pitch 8 times during quality starts and only 18 times overall.
