Three more wins, ? more plunks

The Astros magic number is down to 3 today, but there is still work to be done, and many more pitches to be taken for the team. Brad Ausmus got hit by a pitch, and Craig Biggio hit his career best 25th homer of the season, but Biggio did not get hit by a pitch.
Tonight Chris Carpenter will be flinging baseballs in Craig Biggio's direction. Carpenter plunked Biggio about three weeks ago, and also on April 14, 2004. Hitting Craig Biggio with another pitch could really set Carpenter apart from Dontrell Willis in the eyes of Cy Young award voters since both have 1 Biggio plunk this year and 2 in their career.
Craig Biggio has never been hit by a pitch on September 28th.

And, most importantly, Alyson Footer reports that Craig Biggio's mom did fine in surgery.

PBR-
Do you know how many, if any, plunks Craig has had in the postseason? MLB doesn't generally count postseason stats in its general records. (No matter how many plunks he gets in the postseason, his total won't change from what he ends the season with). Enlighten us, oh brilliant one. -D

2, both in the '98 division series against San Diego. (these aren't included in the 273, nor is his 1 all-star game plunk, which also was in '98.
I'll get more into post season plunk history next week.
