still no 272

Chad Qualls contributed by hitting two Padres batters last night, but Craig Biggio did not get hit by a pitch. Despite Qualls' efforts, the Astros are still taking more plunks than they're dishing out this year by a margin of 60-45. Last year, Astros batters took only 61 HBPs while their pitchers hit 68 batters, making that the first time the Astros handed out more plunks than they took since 1993. 1990 is the only other year during Craig Biggio's career when the Astros batters didn't take more for the team than the pitching staff gave up.

The Astros are off today, and Craig Biggio has never been hit by a pitch on August 25th.
