youth gone wild part 3 (walks)

The pitchers who have hit Craig Biggio with a pitch 270 have combined to surrender, in those same games, 462 walks or about 0.41 walks per inning pitched. During the span of Biggio's career, the total major league walk rate has been 0.38 per inning pitched, so the pitchers plunking Biggio haven't been walking people too much more often. There have been 81 Biggio plunking appearances where the pitcher hit more batters than he walked, and another 56 where the pitcher's walks and hit batters were equal. That leaves just 121 times, less than half, that a pitcher has walked more batters than he hit in a game where he hit Biggio. (There have been 12 multi-plunk pitching appearances, thus 258 overall pitching appearance with a hit Biggio.)
Younger pitchers have walked the most batters in games when they also hit Craig Biggio with a pitch, led by the 26 year olds with 55.

And, younger pitchers in general do tend to surrender more walks.
