on to San Francisco

Craig Biggio will look to take another step closer to the all time HBP record tonight at SBC Park in San Francisco. On the mound will be Jason Schmidt who plunked Biggio on September 17, 1997 for Pittsburgh.
Biggio has never been hit by a pitch on August 5th, and the Giants have the longest streak in the National League of not plunking Biggio. The Giants haven't hit him since May 15, 1999 so Biggio has never been hit by a pitch at SBC Park (which opened in 2000).

Seeing as how no tell tale anagrams come up when I enter “Jason Schmidt” in to the patented Cletus J. “Bubba” Huckabee Anagram Generator (version 3.4a, aka “the grits and gravy version”…which I have mentioned previously twice now) nothing of note comes up except gobbledy gook. I reckon at least the first game at New Candlestick will be free of Biggio plunkings.

I can’t understand why pbr didn’t hold an all night vigil to see the 270th come in. Those of us who slouch over our computers in to the wee hours of the morning took grim notice that pbr didn’t log that 270th until well after 6 this morning. If you need to stay up late to track the plunkings, I recommend a couple dozen day-old donuts (you can get them cheap after 2 PM) and a case of tepid diet soft drink of your choice…. But make sure it has plenty of caffeine. I have been tanked up on refined sugar and caffeine for all but three of Biggio’s plunkings this season!

Is the patented Cletus J. “Bubba” Huckabee Anagram Generator (version 3.4a, aka “the grits and gravy version”) available commercially?

Reluctantly I got to admit that the patented Cletus J. “Bubba” Huckabee Anagram Generator (version 3.4a, aka “the grits and gravy version”) ain’t available commercially just yet. That is
A overly claimable claim. “A OVERLY CLAIMABLE CLAIM,” by the way, is an anagram for “available commercially.”

I been out in the shed tinkering with it for a coon’s age and I reckon it might be near ready for public display, but I don’t rightly see much of a commercial application for it. Mainly I use it to come up with irritating little interjections that get strewn about like verbal distractions. Hacks Mama off to no end when I run off to the shed and figure out a half dozen anagrams for something she has just said.

I apologize if I have taken this blog off on a wild goose chase. Anagrams might be perplexing and fun, but Biggio's plunkings are the topic of the day.

DICEY FOOTPATH is an anagram for “topic of the day”… by the way

Is there an official underground circle for what I'm sure will be the next big technological trend - "the blog within the blog"?

If the trend isn't official yet, then I hereby state that we've started the trend here. And as PBR is a unique breath of fresh air, so is the blog within a blog that is the exchanges between PBR and Mr. Huckabee.

Just for the record, "A GIB BOWL LOG HINT", "BLAB HOG WILING TO", "BAG BILL HOG I WONT", "BAG BILL GIN HOW TO","GLOBAL BIN HOG WIT", "BANG OBI LIGHT OWL", and "AGING BOB WHO LILT", are anagrams for "Blog within a Blog".

Due to the fact that the patented Cletus J. “Bubba” Huckabee Anagram Generator (version 3.4a, aka “the grits and gravy version”) isn't commercially available, my apologies in advance for the prehistoric nature of the anagramatticalness posted here.

But I do reckon (with apologies again) that I may have just proved the commercial worthiness of the patented Cletus J. “Bubba” Huckabee Anagram Generator (version 3.4a, aka “the grits and gravy version”) as I just spent a good 30 minutes of work time tolling over the possible anagram combinations, and could have easily spent several more minutes (hours?) if the boss hadn't stopped by. Stupid Boss.

Ain't it a shame, but there's at least one public-access web site which does phrase anagrams for you. Sorry to rain on the potential commercial glory of the patented (?) Cletus J. "Bubba" Huckabee Anagram Generator (version 3.4a, aka "the grits and gravy version"), but metagrams.com beat you to it. Which is how I know that "plunk biggio" is an anagram of "big oink gulp", among other things.

But I do like the blog-within-a-blog phenom.

Another anagram for blog within a blog: Biggio Halt Blown

That's gotta mean something.

Now if you ask me, and plenty folks interested in linguistic conundrums associated with Craig “Target” Biggio’s quest to the record for plunkings do, anagrams ain’t the only thing I’m interested in. While the patented Cletus J. “Bubba” Huckabee Anagram Generator (version 3.4a, aka “the grits and gravy version”) ain’t quite ready for commercial release (mainly because I am still working with the prototype which utilizes the little wooden letters from about two dozen Scrabble® games. Them little wooden letters are connected to a wheel and cog system and each one is threaded through with bailing wire and I can move the letters around the shed by pulling and pushing on a set of levers and form and reform words until I see something worthy of note) I am fixin’ to go public with my patented Cletus J. “Bubba” Huckabee Palindrome Engine (version 17… no parts strap on)

I set the Palindrome Engine up over at Flatworm Jackson’s place on account of my shed already being occupied by the Anagram Generator. Likewise I use bailing wire, piano keys, and Scrabble® parts and boy howdy does that sucker take up a lot of space. Flatworm ain’t married any longer; otherwise I’m sure I’d have to find some other place to set it up.

The problem with palindromes and this here Biggio situation is that the name ‘Craig Biggio” backwards don’t really add up to much in the English language. Anybody see potential in “oiggib giarc”? If the man had been named “Bob” it would have made possibilities easier to detect.

I aim to have a palindrome about Target’s quest up in time for the passing of Tommy Tucker, a la plunk # 273. That’s all for now, I got to get over to Flatworm’s place and get busy.

Plunk Biggio Reporter anagrams:

BE EGG I ILK PORN TO PURR
BE EGG PRIOR TORI PLUNK
BE GREG I KNIT POOL PURR
BE REPORTING GROUP ILK
BE TIGER PROG IN OK PURL

Therefore, PBR must be an egg-shaped perl programmer who loves to swim in a Tori Spelling T while watching kitty smut.

Sounds like a good guy.

As the official girlfriend of the Plunk Biggio Reporter, I can tell you that is just about right on the money. Except for the part about Tori Spelling.
