The other half of JimBob's question turned out much less monumentally crazy then he anticipated (at least compared to the part I answered yesterday). Here are the all time HBP totals for batters by last initial through the end of the 2004, first sorted by total plunks, then by plunks per plate appearance for all those people too lazy to copy my data into a spreadsheet and sort it themselves.
M's hold the lead with 8,836 plunks, but E's are hit most frequently with 0.006926 plunks per PA or around 1 plunk every 144 plate appearances.
Also, Craig Biggio has been hit more times then all the players who have ever had a last name starting with the letter Q, U, I or (obviously) X.
