strategy

The Cubs went into last night's game knowing that not hitting Craig Biggio with a pitch could be a key to the game, and they executed their strategy to perfection. They didn't hit him with any of the 14 pitches they had to throw him.
Carlos Zambrano will probably be trying the same radical strategy tonight. Zambrano plunked Biggio on May 31, 2003 for plunk 222 and August 12, 2003 for plunk 233.
Craig Biggio has never been hit by a pitch on September 30.
