Final regular season weekend - anybody got a win?

Not much good came of last night's game for the Astros, but Craig Biggio did hit his 603rd double, tying Cal Ripkin on the all time list.
Jerome Williams pitches today for the Cubs. None of the 5,896 major league pitches Williams has thrown have hit Craig Biggio.
Greg Maddux pitches Sunday making his final attempt to avoid his first losing record since the dawn of time. Maddux has thrown 58,972 pitches since someone started counting, and faced 144 batters before that. Two of those 58,972 pitches hit Craig Biggio. Maddux's 49th pitch to hit a batter nailed Biggio on July 31, 1993 and Biggio became Maddux's 53rd plunk victim on June 12, 1994.
Craig Biggio's only regular season plunks in the month of October occured in a two plunk game by Dustin Hermanson on October 6, 2001.

Not that we had any worries (right?), but the Man has just signed a one-year contract extension. At least one more year of plunks, and the ongoing drive to 3000 hits too. Should be another fun season in 2006.

Let's top it off by smacking the Braves around, eh?
